The Name Xtreme Street Racing was developed over five years ago, when the website was first developed. A few members of XSR had the passion to make videos of different types of driving such as drifting, circuit, drag racing, meets, and others. Our website began for the soul purpose of sharing those videos with others so that we, XSR, are able to have a place to share the videos and have other visitors and members be able to view and download our videos directly from our website. People would also be able to visit the forums and talk about their experiences such as racing, meets, and other activities. We have made over 60 videos up to this day, and our collection of videos are growing!
Our name was thought up quickly, At the time, we got videos from street areas such as car meets, we followed drifters as they drifted around parking lots and around empty warehouses. Car meets are a very popular and growing trend around the United States, giving oppurtunity for more footage. Websites like Streetfire.net have millions of videos, most of the races are situated on highways, streets, abandoned parking lots and other congested areas. People disagree with our name because it has the word STREET RACING in it, though most races or events are situated on public highways and other public areas. XSR is just a name, it does not support illegal street racing, we do not condone illegal street racing in any way shape or form.
Our name was created as all of our videos are street related! Though we do not condone illegal activities. Keep it at the track, and off the streets! You might say "well you record street racing". Thats just it! we record it, we do not do it, we record it for others to view and enjoy as we enjoy them our selves, other people do it all the time and upload their videos to Streetfire.net, Youtube.com and other places, we are just the same way we just record our own videos and upload them to our own website, recording it and not supporting it are different.
This was composed as a word of mouth when someone went around bad-mouthing XSR, leading to assume that we, XSR, are a group of adolescent kids performing illegal activities on the street when this is far from the actuality. We take assurance in what we do, and we make sure everything we do is legit. We keep the people around us safe, everyone who wants videos recorded by us, we let them know whatever you do is your liability and we are just making the video for you. We are not responsible for anything other people want on the videos we make unless it is our own videos. Any videos someone wants to take that is to dangerous we do not partake in. This shows we are mature and do things that show we try to do things responsibly, and legibly to keep everyone around us safe.
